We use Elemental Magnesium to generate Hydrogen. When this form of Magnesium hits water, it reacts and generates millions of small molecules of molecular hydrogen (H₂).

Another unique aspect of Hydrofy is that when the elemental magnesium hits water, it is also converted to magnesium ions (Mg2+), which is the most bioavailable form of magnesium, making it easier for your body to consume and utilize.

The Hydrogen gas (H₂) doesn’t completely escape the water immediately because it partially dissolves, forming a semi-stable solution. The hydrogen molecules interact with the water molecules through weak forces, allowing some of the gas to stay dissolved for a period of time. However, because hydrogen is a very small and light molecule, it doesn’t stay fully dissolved indefinitely. Over time, some hydrogen will escape from the water, especially if the container is open. Using a water bottle to pressurize the solution significantly enhances the solubility of the gas in water. By increasing the pressure inside the bottle, the gas is forced into the liquid, effectively dissolving more H₂ molecules and reducing the rate at which it escapes. This process follows Henry’s Law, which states that the solubility of a gas in a liquid is directly proportional to the pressure of the gas above the liquid.
